okay, i'm getting all geared up to study
yesterday we celebrated zn's birthday
yesyes, it was fun alright!
but i shall not say how fun!
lest you people out there gets jealous
PLUS
i shant waste precious time anymore
i have this whole stack of chem notes in front of me
sooooo excited
they're my precious notes from secondary 2
apparently, th bonding shit is gona be tested
let's start from th basics thn
th nucleus contains protons and electrons
p for postive charge and since Protons are Positive,
electrons are negative -.-
protons and neutrons are collectively known as nucleons
the mass of electrons are negligible while P and N are both 1
the total number of P and N = MASS NUMBER
the number on top of the name
the number below = PROTON number
PROTON number = ELECTRON number
ISOTOPES are atoms with the SAME Proton/electron number but DIFFERENT MASS
ionic bonding= 1 metal, 1 non metal
metal forms cations(POSITIVELY CHARGED)
non metals form anion(NEGATIVELY CHARGED)
LOSS/GAIN of elctrons
covalent bonding = 2 non-metallic elements
- the muntual electrical atraction btwn th 2 postive nuclei of them
SHARING OF ELECTRONS
i hope that's all. i hate this shit
properties of those compounds? spare me
esp since veron hasnt been teaching us since forever ):
